Weaverville Community Forest - What started as a protest against a proposed land exchange between BLM and a private timber company has evolved into a Stewardship Contract between the RCD and BLM, and now expanded onto USFS lands.  This significant development has allowed the community to reiterate its desires for the community forest, has provided a local entity (the RCD) to provide a bridge between the community and the BLM and USFS, and lets revenue generated from forest health activities be used for other forest projects.  Click Here For More Info

Expansion of High Speed Internet – Trinity County is part of Redwood Coast Connect a collaborative project between Trinity, Humboldt, Del Norte and Mendocino Counties who’s goal is to expand high speed internet to these rural counties and create a redundant system.

General Plan Update -  The local General Plan can be described as the City’s or County’s “blueprint” for the future.  It represents the community’s view of its future; a constitution made up of the goals and policies upon which the Board of Supervisors, and Planning Commission will base their land use decisions.
