The Trinity County Board of Supervisors is making its voice heard regarding the current State budget fiasco. Working through both our state associations and directly with our legislators, board members and staff are all putting any pressure we can on the state decision makers to move forward together to pass a budget. I would encourage all citizens to contact their legislators and the Governor’s office. Contact information is posted on my website here.
The impact that this stalemate has already had on local government’s cash flow and ability to continue to provide services has been significant and the window on our ability to function at all is closing quickly. Even so, I want to reassure residents and county employees alike that we will be able to endure this and this will be resolved due to pressure from the urban counties who are already threatening to withhold sales tax from the state, a significant threat.
It is vital for your state legislators and the governor to hear from you, the average citizen.
Please do your best to place calls to them and make your voice heard.
